Cobscook Soundings

COBSCOOK SOUNDINGS: A series of newspaper columns about marine research of relevance to Cobscook Bay.

The following is a series of monthly columns produced by The Nature Conservancy and published in the Quoddy Tides, a bi-weekly newspaper based in Eastport which serves the Cobscook Bay area. The primary writer was Cheryl Daigle, with assistance from Jim Dow.

The purpose of these columns was to share what is known about the workings of Cobscook Bay's marine environment so that all who make decisions about the use and care of the bay have the best available information. In particular these columns seek to "translate" scientific research which has been completed or is in progress and has direct relevance to Cobscook.
